Heat and sun gives us a good mood and brings us to a more pleasant state of mind which automatically makes us smile, we are more receptive to others, and thus to interactions, networking, motivation and so on. Studies show that the warm temperatures and sunshine hours, lower anxiety levels and increase positive thinking.

Summer brings you into a good mood

Exposure to sunlight, gives us vitamin D and this affects the hormonal systems. There is a monoamine neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, called serotonin, conditioned in part by sunlight (decreases at dusk and increases at dawn). This has a significant inhibition of anger, aggression, mood, sleep function … That’s why at low levels of serotonin we feel more apathetic, sad, angry … and at higher levels, we feel more cheerful, happy euphoric.

So as we arrive to summer, the hours of sunlight increase, thus more serotonin is released and we are happier and more liable. This is indeed a great scenario for incentives, meetings, and team-building business programs!
